ENERGY STAR® Appliances Winners
To Be Announced Saturday
FIVE District of Columbia residential customers have a chance to win a The Home Depot gift card good for $1,000 in ENERGY STAR appliances in Pepco’s ENERGY STAR Appliance Rebate Sweepstakes.
The winners will be announced at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at The Home Depot store on Rhode Island Ave., N.E. Five names of customers who entered the contest will be drawn at random for a Home Depot gift card good for $1,000 in ENERGY STAR electric appliances -- or an electric water heater with an energy factor of 0.93.
Winners don’t have to be present to win and all winners will be notified by mail. Winners can redeem gift cards anytime, but only at The Home Depot’s Rhode Island Avenue, N.E., store.
The contest is now closed for new entries, but Pepco’s 2010 D.C. Appliance Swap gets under way at 10 a.m. Be sure to join us for several hours of fun, food and entertainment. Get great tips on how you can lower your energy costs. Also, bring in your old inefficient appliance and Pepco will recycle it on the spot, free of charge.
And don’t forget to take advantage of Pepco’s Lighting and Appliance Rebate Program. We’re offering rebates up to $50 on ENERGY STAR qualified refrigerators, room air conditioners and electric water heaters (EF 0.93).
Or get a discount on your next purchase of CFLs . Many participating store locations are taking $1.50 off a single bulb and $3 off multipacks.
Pepco District customers interested in submitting a rebate application or taking advantage of the CFL discount program should do so on or before Friday, August 13, 2010.
This program operates in coordination with the District Department of the Environment, Green Energy DC.
