Lightning Safety Tips
- If you hear thunder you are close enough to the storm to be struck by lightning. Go to a safe shelter immediately, preferably indoors.
- If you can’t get indoors, get in a hardtop vehicle.
- Never go under a tree.
- Avoid using the telephone or any electrical appliances.
- If you are boating or swimming, get to land and find shelter immediately.
