7 a.m. OUTAGE UPDATE; Pepco Restores Power to About 116,000 Customers

| For Immediate Release 7 a.m. OUTAGE UPDATE As of 7 a.m., the following outages are reported on the Pepco system: District of Columbia: 83,000 DRY ICE DISTRIBUTION Pepco had ordered 950,000 pounds of dry ice in advance of Thursday’s storm, but our Baltimore supplier, the only area supplier, has been without power and cannot supply adequate quantities of ice. During the six-day period following the thunderstorm outage in August, Pepco distributed 200,000 pounds of dry ice.
