10 a.m. OUTAGE UPDATE; Power Restoration Efforts Under Way ; Record Outages Recorded on Pepco System

| For Immediate Release 10 a.m. OUTAGE UPDATE Power Restoration Efforts Under Way Overnight, Pepco was able to restore service to some customers, but some additional outages occurred as high winds continued. As of 10 a.m., the following outages are reported on the Pepco system: District of Columbia: 123,479 Crews began work at 2 a.m. and Pepco now has more than 700 crews in rotating 12-hour shifts. Pepco personnel are conducting a damage assessment to determine how long the restoration process will take.
