For Immediate Release February 11, 2004 Media Advisory | WHO: | Pepco, Washington Gas, WSSC and the Prince George`s County Department of Social Services | | WHAT: | Prince George`s County Utility Assistance Expo | | WHY: | Prince George`s County residents are invited to sign up for assistance with electric and gas bills. Local utilities and government agencies will offer information on how to lower utility bills through low-cost and no-cost energy efficiency measures. Expo will feature exhibits, door prizes, and more! The event is open to all eligible Prince George`s County residents. Spanish translators will be on-hand at the event. | | WHERE: | Langley Park Community Center 1500 Merrimac Drive Hyattsville , Maryland | | WHEN: | Wednesday, February 18, 2004 10:00 am to 2:00 pm | Additional Information: Applicants must meet income eligibility requirements and should bring originals or copies of the following: - Proof of identity and residence
- Social security numbers (for all household members)
- Lease or rent receipt
- Proof of total gross income for the past 30 days for all household members 18 and over (including pay stubs, award letters from TCA, SSI, Unemployment, Pension, etc.)
- Utility bills or heating fuel receipts
