Energy Conservation Reminder from Pepco

| For Immediate Release Heat Pushes Electricity Use to New Record Pepco expects customers` demand for electricity to again break new records today as a result of the extremely hot, humid weather blanketing the area. While the company expects to be able to deliver enough electricity to meet the heavy demand for power, Pepco is asking customers to use energy prudently to help prevent possible power supply problems, and at the same time save money on their electric bills. Pepco broke its all-time peak demand at 5 p.m. Monday as customers demanded 6,452 megawatts of power. The previous peak 6,364 MW set July 29, 2002. Some other measures that can save energy are:
