Utility Sponsors the Community Stage at Racing Park
"So You Think You Can Dance" Contest
Washington, D.C. - Pepco is sponsoring the Community Stage and Pepco volunteers will work an energy conservation information booth at the annual Montgomery County Agricultural Fair, Aug. 9 through Aug. 17.
This year the Community Stage will host the "So You think You Can Dance" contest that features cash prizes for the top three winners. Competition nights are Friday, Aug. 9, Saturday, Aug. 10, Friday, Aug. 16 and Saturday, Aug. 17.
Pepco will also staff an energy conservation information booth. Volunteers will distribute materials about Pepco's new energy conservation programs developed in conjunction with EmPOWER Maryland.
Additionally, Pepco is a sponsor of the VIP Children's Day in the Kid Zone at the Community Square.
"Fun and wholesome entertainment is why the Montgomery County Fair is always a major success and why Pepco is proud to be a part of the festivities," said Debbi Jarvis, vice president, corporate citizenship and social responsibility. "Our volunteers will provide fact sheets on what we are doing throughout Montgomery County to improve reliability along with fact sheets on ways customers can use state sponsored energy conservation programs to help lower their energy costs."
Folks attending the Montgomery County Agriculture Fair are invited to drop by the Pepco exhibit booth from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
