Starpower Communications today announced that toll-free Internet access is available through a local access number for its customers who visit the Delaware beaches.

"By dialing into this local access number, Starpower subscribers will not incur long-distance charges and they will be free to surf the Web or retrieve their e-mail at the beach," said John McCallum, Co-Chairman of Starpower.

Areas where the new number may be accessed locally include Rehoboth, Bethany Beach, Dagsboro, Ocean View, Seaford, Secbyville, Millsboro, Milton, Lewes, Laurel, and Decmar. The local access number is (302) 549-8111.

"The Internet has become an integral part of every day life, and customers want access at home, at work and at the beach," added Tony Peduto, Starpower`s General Manager.

Starpower offers local access to its Internet service throughout the Northeast. All local access numbers may be found by visiting the company's Web site at
