Pepco To Begin Distributing Dry Ice at 2:00 PM Friday

Pepco will begin distributing dry ice to customers who have lost power as a result of the storm at 2:00 pm Friday September 19, 2003. Pepco will operate three dry ice distribution centers:

  • District of Columbia: RFK Stadium, Parking Lot #4, East Capitol and 22nd Streets, N.E.
  • Montgomery County: Westfield Shoppingtown Wheaton, near the intersection of Veirs Mill Rd. and Georgia Ave., behind parking garage, past movie theaters, Wheaton, Md.
  • Prince George`s County: Landover Mall, Route 202 and Brightseat Rd., Landover, Md.

In addition to Pepco`s sites, local government agencies in each jurisdiction will operate distribution centers with dry ice supplied by Pepco. These sites will be at Carter Barron at 16th Street and Colorado Avenue, N.W., in the District of Columbia and the Upper County Government Center, 12900 Middlebrook Rd., Germantown, Md. Hours of operation will be announced by government agencies after the storm passes.
