Pepco urges all Prince George's County residents who need assistance with paying their gas, electric or heating fuel bills to attend the Prince Georges County Utility Assistance Expo on Aug. 18 at the Prince George's County Ballroom, 2411 Pinebrook Ave., Landover.
County residents interested in obtaining assistance do not need a turn-off notice to apply for benefits. However, applicants must meet the income limits in the chart below.

Eligible applicants must bring to the Expo originals or copies of: proof of identity and residence; Social Security numbers for all household members; a lease or rent receipt; proof of total gross income for the past 30 days for all household members 18 and over (including pay stubs, award letters from TCA, SSSI, Unemployment, Pension, etc.); and utility bills or heating fuel receipts.
County residents who attend the Expo can also learn how to save money through low-cost and no-cost energy efficiency measures and about other Prince George's County services, as well.
The Expo will run from 9 a.m. through 7 p.m. A shuttle bus service will be available from the Landover Metro Station to the Expo.
The Expo is co-sponsored by Pepco and other area utilities and the County Executive, Department of Public Works, and Dept. of Social Services, plus the Maryland Human Services Agency, Office of Home Energy Programs and Office of the People's Counsel.
