Pepco crews-assisted by contractors and crews borrowed from neighboring utilities-are still working 16-hour shifts to restore approximately 2,000 customers who remain without power from Wednesday evening's storm. Crews have already restored power to about 60,000 customers.
Customers who are still without power are urged to report their outage by calling 1-877-PEPCO-62, even if they have previously called it in. While these customers are waiting for their power to be restored, they should make sure that their main circuit breaker is turned on and leave a light on that is visible from the street. This is helpful at this stage of the restoration to allow Pepco crews to quickly verify that service has been restored to all customers at each of the remaining trouble spots.
Pepco wishes to thank all its customers for their continued patience during a series of weather-related outages and record demand for power.
