The Pepco Golf Classic will be held September 18 with proceeds from the sale of sponsorships going to help disadvantaged residents in the District and Montgomery and Prince George's counties pay heating bills this winter.

Tournament proceeds totaling more than $100,000 will be distributed to families through The Greater Washington Urban League, the Community Ministry of Montgomery County and United Communities Against Poverty, Inc., Prince George 's County.

The Pepco Golf Classic is a Cadillac Invitational event presented by Doggett's Parking Co. and will take place at The Country Club at Woodmore in Mitchellville , Md.
