Manejando energía …Savoir d'énergie… Perícia da energia. No matter how you say it, Energy Know-How is essential to consumers working to balance their budgets and save money without sacrificing basic home comforts.
Pepco will present the latest in its broad array of resources developed to help customers make the most of their energy dollar to representatives of diverse multicultural groups from Washington, D.C., and Montgomery County, MD, at a breakfast on Oct. 18. The breakfast will take place at 8 a.m. at Pepco's headquarters, 701 Ninth St., NW.
In addition to a live presentation of Pepco's new online energy management program, Energy Know-How Solutions, guests at the breakfast will receive "Energy Know-How Kits." The kits contain essential, low-cost tools for weatherizing a home, along with a sheet of advice on how to use them. The kits are designed for educating consumers on how to prepare their homes for the extreme temperatures of both winter and summer by such simple measures as sealing gaps in windows, doors and electrical outlets.
"We have worked hard to provide customers with the resources to cope with rising energy costs. We are especially concerned to provide as much help as we can to those with limited means and other challenges," says Tom Graham, President, Pepco Holdings Pepco Region. "With winter just around the corner, we plan to introduce attendees at the breakfast to the Energy Know-How Solutions program, our newest and most powerful tool to help customers manage their energy use and lower their bills. We also will distribute copies of our brochure, 85 Ways to Save Money and Energy, which is available in English and Spanish and online, and is chock full of no-cost, low-cost ways to reduce energy consumption in your house or apartment."
