Pepco President Honored as Child Advocate of the Year

Informing the Community about the Fight against Child Abuse in Prince George's County

The Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children (CASA) has chosen Pepco Region President Thomas H. Graham as recipient of its Child Advocate of the Year Award. The award, to be presented Today, is used to raise awareness of child abuse in Prince George's County. The reception will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Country Club at Woodmore.

According to CASA, Prince George's County reports more than 3000 children as abused or neglected every year. "They are adamant about sharing their mission and efforts to face this issue and I'm honored to be a part of it," said Graham who was first introduced to CASA at last year's award reception. CASA has invited elected officials, business and community leaders to the award reception.

Graham was cited for his numerous contributions to the children and youth of the District of Columbia Metropolitan Area. He is a part of PHI's Guiding Light Program, which provides selected District of Columbia Public School Students the opportunity to be mentored by PHI management-level employees. He is also involved in other mentoring programs in Prince George's County and the District of Columbia.
