Pepco Regional President/Program Chair Thomas Graham Praises Graduates

Washington, D.C. - Nearly two dozen government and business professionals join tonight with community leaders for Leadership Prince George's 2008 graduation. Thomas Graham, Pepco Regional President and Chairman of Leadership Prince George's, Inc. says, "I congratulate the graduates, who have stepped up to prepare themselves for more active leadership roles in their community. They have increased their value to their professions and to Prince George's County."

The 2008 Leadership Prince George's Inc. graduates include members of the county council, police and sheriff's departments, and Office of the Prince George's County Executive. Also among the graduates are state education, banking, health care, legal, and public relations business leaders. The graduation ceremonies will take place at 6 p.m. at Martin's Crosswinds Restaurant, located at 7400 Greenway Center Drive in Greenbelt.

The mission of Leadership Prince George's is to support area leaders in refining and improving their leadership skills and in expanding professional networks. Since its founding in 1985 with an inaugural class of 24, Leadership Prince George's has produced more than 700 graduates. In addition to enhancing leadership skills, the nine-month program seeks to improve cultural awareness and acceptance, inform members and citizens about community issues, and provide dialogue forums between citizens and community leaders.
