Pepco Launches 'Gift of Energy' Program

WASHINGTON - An economic downturn can give rise to the need to help those who are struggling to pay their energy bills, which is why Pepco encourages consumers to give the gift of energy this holiday season.

"This program enables people to help those special loved ones with their energy bill," said Thomas H. Graham, President, Pepco Region. "Pepco is pleased to offer such a program, particularly during these tough economic times."

Gift of energy payments must be made in person with cash, check or money order at one of the company's participating walk-in offices, where a customer service representative can assist with the purchase.

Where to Buy a Gift of Energy:

The locations and hours of participating Pepco walk-in offices are:

Place: Washington, D.C.
Address: 701 Ninth Street, NW
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Place: Forestville, Maryland

Address: 8300 Old Marlboro Pike

Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday only, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The way it works is simple, just:

  • Provide the cashier with the name and address of the person receiving the gift of energy;

  • Make a payment on that special someone's account; and
