WHAT: Pepco to Hold Press Conference on Status of Power Outages

Pepco officials will discuss the current status of its restoration efforts throughout the Washington Metropolitan area. As of 7 a.m., Pepco crews - assisted by crews from other PHI utilities and from utilities as far away as Ohio - have restored power to nearly 260,000 customers.
41,952 customers remain without power, down from a peak of 301,000 customers without power immediately after the violent July 25 storm inflicted significant damage to Pepco's electric system.
Pepco will continue to work around the clock until power has been restored to all customers.
