Thomas Graham's Campaign Contributes $134,000
WASHINGTON - Thomas H. Graham, President, Pepco Region, was one of 19 philanthropists running for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) 20th Anniversary Man & Woman of the Year award for the National Capital Area Chapter. This year's campaign raised over $1 million - the most ever raised across all LLS chapters .
Mr. Graham ran a 10-week campaign and raised $134,000 for blood cancer research. He was awarded second runner-up behind Jerry Truman ($139,000) and Eric Allen ($173,500) . In addition, a research grant will be named in Pepco's honor for Tom's efforts in raising more than $50,000 .
"I'm excited to be a part of the record breaking team that raised over $1 million for this great cause," said Graham. "I appreciate all of the support and donations I received from business leaders, friends, family, neighbors and especially my Pepco family, to help benefit the one million Americans battling with blood cancers today."
