Maryland Attorney Brings Vast Experience to Company
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Pepco has appointed Jerald "Jerry" Pasternak, an attorney and former Montgomery County Special Assistant, as Region Vice President, Maryland Affairs, with responsibility for managing outreach with community leaders, business, consumer and non-profit groups throughout the company's Maryland service territory in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Pasternak will report directly to Pepco Region President Thomas H. Graham and starts his new position effective August 1.
"Jerry brings an extensive legal and business background to the company, including more than 15 years of successfully developing state and community programs dealing with a wide range of issues," Graham said. "His considerable knowledge of Maryland and his expert familiarity with state and local matters makes him an ideal selection for our team. We are very pleased to have Jerry join our team . "
In his most recent position, Pasternak served for four years as Senior Counsel for Garson/Claxton LLC, a Bethesda, Md.-based real estate law firm. Prior to joining Garson/Claxton, he spent 12 years as a Special Assistant to the County Executive of Montgomery County where, during his tenure, he successfully provided oversight, guidance and direction to ensure successful implementation of policy objectives for more than 25 departments and agencies within the county.
Mr. Pasternak graduated with a BA degree in Political Science from New York City's Yeshiva University and later earned a Master's of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University as well as a Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. He is currently licensed to practice law in California, the District of Columbia and in Maryland.
