Pepco to De-Energize Southeast Neighborhood to Complete Underground Repairs

Outage Scheduled for 11 p.m. in area South of Lincoln Park, S.E.

WASHINGTON - Tonight, Pepco will complete repairs to an underground feeder that delivers power to about 300 customers in the Southeast, Washington neighborhood south of Lincoln Park. To complete the repairs, it will be necessary for Pepco to de-energize the feeder serving customers in the vicinity of 15th and C Streets, S.E., and South Carolina Avenue S.E. The scheduled outage will begin at approximately 11 p.m. and barring unforeseen complications the work should be completed in about four hours.

"Pepco regrets the inconvenience to our customers," said Pepco Region President, Thomas Graham. "Our crews will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and safely as possible."

Pepco crews worked all day Friday, September 30 to drain and rebuild a manhole that services the affected areas. The necessary electric cable work will take place tonight once the affected feeder is de-energized.
