Social Service Agency Thanks Utility President for Community Service
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Pepco Region President Thomas H. Graham has received the Community Service Award from Mary's Center of Washington, D.C. Mary's Center, founded in 1988, is a federally qualified health center that provides health care, family literacy and social services to 24,000 individuals annually, regardless of their ability to pay.
"This award is about the work that Pepco has the honor to support," Graham said. "Mary's Center annually serves thousands of people of all races and social backgrounds by delivering high quality services that empower its clients to enjoy a higher quality of life and thereby become messengers of Mary's Center within their communities."
Mary's Center operates four full-service community health centers - two in Washington, DC, and two in Maryland. In its 24th year, Mary's Center began operating a Senior Wellness Center, a psychiatric clinic and a mobile pediatric dentistry unit.
Pepco continues to support Mary's Center because it has made tremendous changes in the overall wellbeing of the Washington Metropolitan community.
