Washington, D.C. - Pepco Holdings Inc.'s (PHI) Debbi Jarvis, vice president for corporate citizenship and social responsibility, has received the Corporate Responsibility Award from Mary's Center of Washington, D.C. The award recognizes Jarvis' support to the nonprofit community, her commitment to linking individuals in need with the appropriate resources and for engaging members of the Pepco family in her effort to help improve people's lives.
"Pepco is a strong supporter of Mary's Center and the great work it does in the community," said Jarvis. "It has made tremendous changes in the overall well-being of the Washington metropolitan community."
Mary's Center annually serves thousands of people of diverse backgrounds by successfully delivering high quality services that empower its clients to enjoy a higher quality of life and improve their health.
Mary's Center, founded in 1988, is a federally qualified health center that provides health care, family literacy and social services to 24,000 individuals annually, regardless of their ability to pay. Mary's Center operates four full-service community health centers - two in Washington, D.C., and two in Maryland. In its 26th year, Mary's Center began operating a Senior Wellness Center, a psychiatric clinic and a mobile pediatric dentistry unit.
