Winter Weather News Conference


WHAT:

The winter weather news conference will feature a panel of internal and external subject experts who will explain how Pepco is preparing for the winter and provide suggestions regarding how our customers can better be prepared.

WHEN:

10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015

WHERE:

Pepco Edison Place Gallery 702 Eight Street NW (The rear of Pepco headquarters at 701 9th Street N.W.)

WHO:

Kevin Witt, Meteorologist, National Weather Service

Witt will set the tone by delivering the 2015-2016 winter forecast for the mid-Atlantic region. He can also speak to the impact that inclement weather such as snow, ice, freezing rain and sleet has on our community.

Michael "Mike" Sullivan, Senior Vice President, Pepco Operations & Engineering

Sullivan will deliver a presentation on storm preparation and restoration.

Jerald "Jerry" Pasternak, Vice President, Pepco Region Maryland

Pasternak will speak about Pepco's many programs that help customers stay current with energy bills and that offer assistance to customers who have fallen behind in their bill payments. A Fact Sheet will be issued to the media to reinforce that disconnection is a last resort.

William Ellis, Manager, Pepco Demand Side Management

Ellis will deliver a presentation on the extensive energy conservation programs Pepco offers customers that are designed to help them lower energy costs.
