We have restored power to more than 8,900 customers." said Donna Cooper, Pepco president. "Real-time data from smart meters have enhanced our restoration efforts by helping us pinpoint precise locations of damage or disruptions."

Pepco has used assessment information to evaluate the extent of the damage to the electric system infrastructure from Winter Storm Stella. While restoration has been taking place concurrently, the assessment information is used to more accurately estimate restoration times.

Pepco continues to monitor the storm and prepare for restoration efforts. Wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour could cause further damage to the system. Pepco's trained crews are prepared to respond if the storm damages the system.
