D.C. (April 12, 2017) - Pepco is offering 250 trees on a first-come,
first-served basis to District of Columbia homeowners through our "Right
Tree, Right Place" tree planting program. This program is offered in
partnership with Casey Trees, a D.C.-based nonprofit committed to restoring and
protecting the tree canopy of the nation's capital.
D.C. residents can request up to two
trees through an online form and schedule a consultation visit with Casey Trees
to ensure that optimal trees and planting sites are chosen. Casey Trees will
then plant residents' selected trees during the spring or fall planting
seasons. There is a subsidized cost of $50 per tree payable to Casey Trees
(tree consultation and planting valued at $250), which is required prior to
