WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 2, 2018) – While Mother Nature might not want to make it feel like spring, it's actually here. And with summer almost in reach, Pepco is providing important tips and information so customers can spring into savings. By following a few simple tips, customers can save big money and energy during the hot summer months. This spring, customers should take advantage of the mild weather to inspect their home or business and make enhancements that can lead to significant energy efficiency improvements and greater savings.
In most cases, energy efficiency adjustments can be implemented at low or no cost to customers. The following information can help everyone spring into savings this season:
Pepco has a strong history of helping our customers save money and energy. Last year, 360,000 eligible Pepco customers together saved more than $5.6 million by participating in Pepco's Peak Savings Days programs. These programs reward customers for saving energy when demand for electricity is highest.

By tracking energy use, comparing usage trends, and discovering the results of energy-saving practices, customers can manage their energy more efficiently.
Saving money and energy is important. However, your safety is more important! Whether you are changing a light bulb, inspecting insulation or planting a tree, work safely. For example, always be mindful of overhead wires when using a ladder, wear proper footwear, use safety glasses and call 811 before you dig. And remember, not every job is do it yourself; work with a partner if needed and, when in doubt, call a professional.
