WASHINGTON, D.C. (Oct.15, 2020) – Pepco today issued a Request for Proposal (RFP), for long-term renewable energy and associated environmental attributes, including Renewable Energy Credits (RECs), from new photovoltaic solar and/or onshore wind utility-scale power generating facilities located within the PJM. This RFP is being issued following direction and approval by the Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia.
Pepco is seeking energy and environmental attributes from onshore wind or solar facilities for an annual target amount of 154,000 MWh. The targeted MWh amount equates roughly to a 50 MW onshore wind facility or a 70 MW solar facility. A facility may be paired with an energy storage system. Proposals may be for a term of agreement that is fifteen years or twenty years, with an in-service date of June 1, 2024.
Parties interested in participating in the RFP must submit a Notice of Intent to Bid Form by Nov.16, 2020. The Notice of Intent to Bid Form, the RFP, the Final Agreement, and other related documents, will be provided upon request. Please submit your request by email to the RFP Coordinator at PHI_Renewables@Pepcoholdings.com.
Pepco will hold a Pre-Proposal teleconference on Nov. 2, 2020 to review the general RFP structure and process, and the Final Agreement.
Your completed proposal must be submitted to Pepco by 5:00 p.m. on Jan. 8, 2021.
