Pepco is monitoring a coastal storm that is expected to bring severe weather to our area this weekend. Strong winds and heavy rainfall may bring down trees and damage equipment, resulting in power outages for our customers. We are prepared for this event and have enhanced our staffing resources to best respond. Safety is our top priority. We urge customers to stay away from downed wires and other equipment. To report a downed wire, call 877-737-2662. Report and track outages through our mobile app or website at pepco.com/StormPrep.
We support renewable energy and partner with our customers to ensure safe and reliable interconnection of renewable energy into the electric grid.
The more technical information renewable generation contractors have about the interconnection process, the more you can help your clients – Pepco’s customers – make informed decisions about their project. For more details, please consult the "Technical Interconnection Requirements."
Pepco offers distributed energy contractors the ability to obtain a customer’s historical usage data through the Request Customer Usage module within the Net Energy Metering Online Application Portal. The module provides a secure process for contractors to receive the customer’s authorization and download the usage data, which you use to size the customer’s proposed solar generating system.
Pepco’s Distributed Energy Resources (DER) department provides substantial information concerning the implementation of DER and related topics, including our engineering review for DER projects, established practices and policies, and recent industry research.
